I think they have a couple of gluten free options... Haven't been there for a while so not quite sure if they have a lot of options
Food at printers is outstanding. Al is the best person and business around. Have been going to this place for years now. Their sandwiches are the best
Not the place to go for coffee. Everywhere else was closed until 8 so figured I'd give it a try. Didn't try any of the food and have the feeling that is their Forte. Ambiance was nice with plenty of seating. No wifi, no outlets. I came hoping for that as I had an hour break before an appointment. To some extent wifi is the standard and I can understand the utility in not having it to keep the customers moving.
It's convenient and fast. The food was good. Service was great.
Decent restaurant with breakfast and lunch options. I went with couple of my colleagues as it is right next to our office. Guy at the counter suggested me to try their Pastrami Sandwich with Baguette, it was delicious. Place was moderately crowded and easy to grab seats. It's a good spot with reasonable price.
Love it for nostalgia sake!
Good food and service!
Just discovered this place. Great place to relax. I love the cafe. They have a wide variety of sandwiches with fresh ingredients.
Great salads and coffee. Yes, the owner can be a little gruff, when he is stressed. The other staff is super-friendly. Prices fair. Great atmosphere to meet a friend. And I love the art gallery behind. A hidden gem with monthly changing art displays.
Great coffee, and breakfast options. Owner could use some soft skills training, but once you get to know him he's actually very nice and accommodating. Nice spot for a quiet cup of coffee!
Fun place with a gallery attached.
Great little bistro deli in Old Town, Palo Alto
nice space with a super sweet outdoor patio. i had a lovely time of it until a couple came and started smoking on the patio while eating their food. how gross! I generally am super annoyed, but this time I was livid as I am dealing with intense health issues and I don't need to add to them... cafes should have signs saying no smoking. it's bad for ur health and food and smoking r just gross!!! & unsanitary food is ok. inside the cafe is a sweet art studio space. definitely check it out!!!
Ok, I guess except for some weird service. Overfilled my cup and handed it over, sloshing everywhere. They later reseated us sort of rudely to free up some space.
Very limited selection but a very nice place to gather and chat
Decent place to work, hard to find outlets though. Nice outdoor seating
Good coffee, good food, outdoor shaded tables, Wi-Fi, locally owned, friendly staff who know my usual order preferences (i.e. extra chocolate in my mocha, iced if it's a hot day, that I bring my personal mug and a reusable to go container (from down the street at Country Sun) for the veggie omelet on a croissant if I'm taking it on the train.)
Good place for quick coffee/tea and a bit to eat. Oatmeal was sweetened so be sure to ask for no sugar if that's your store. WiFi is a bit spotty.
Outside eating place is great.
Nice place, wifi offered but it is bad. If it were good I would be here all the time.
Great strong coffee and large croissants. Nice and quick service. Lots of street parking.
I've had a few disappointing experiences here. I want to support local business, but if I don't feel appreciated as a customer, I'm going elsewhere. The last time I had coffee here in the afternoon, mine and three other tables were told we had to move to the other side of the patio because the wine bar was opening. The guy was fairly rude about it, and got into a rather loud disagreement with another customer who was also not pleased about being chased away.Bottom line, there's better coffee, better food, and better service all on the same block. Shop local, but do it somewhere else.
I love printers cafe....good coffe and good food
"Al"ways a delight ;-). Great food! I used to eat there 3 days a week when I workeded in the vicinity. Great coffee, that you can walk around with in the artists' collective art gallery in the back. They are expanding the outdoor sidewalk seating and they've opened a wine bar which I haven't yet tried.
Uncommon to find a sweet, friendly, non chain option in busy Palo Alto. This place is a gym
The owner is a really nice guy, which matters to me. I really like the food; the servings are huge. I also like the lattes, but their not as popular with some of my friends.
Great salads and yummy mint lemonade! Staff is also very kind. Great local cafe.
Pretty standard cafe on Cal Ave with a little gallery in the back. The food and coffee are good but unremarkable. Staff not very friendly. They have free WiFi, but it's pretty slow, and there are limited outlets if your laptop isn't charged up.
Food and service are ok but location and outdoor seating are great. Came in at 12:30 and ordered. Lox special and they were out of bagels! Woot make it a special if you're out of a key ingredient half hour intro lunch?
Nice place for a quickly coffee and eat something.
Good food, good service, great location. I went for a breakfast by myself on a weekday and it met all my expectations. I will be a repeat customer.
Great place to have a quick bite and meet friends. They also have an attached art gallery exhibiting budding artists.
I love this place. It's open-aired, connected to a funky little art gallery and run by one of the nicest people on earth. The guy who greets everyone and makes the coffee is just perfect for the job. He recommends foods, alters coffee orders to the previously-stated desires of patrons and is always warm and friendly. The coffee is great - almond milk and all the stuff picky people like me like. It's my favorite place in Palo Alto.
Love it!! I went there for the first time last week and absolutely love the coffee there and the amazing art exhibit they have at the back of the cafe.
I go for the location above all! Great side-walk terrace for hanging out, reading, working, people-watching, etc. Cal Ave is just quiet enough without being empty so it is a pleasant location. The food is OK (sandwiches, etc) and the coffee is good enough.
Would give it 3 stars if it were at another location that perhaps doesn't have as many (great) options as this street in Palo Alto. Food is sub standard. Cleanliness is sub par. Moderately comfortable to sit in & work.
Good relaxing place for decent coffee. I prize it for always having ample seating, and no music with volume cranked way up.
I have always loved Printers Inc. Nice staff (certainly not overfriendly), nice food, and great atmosphere. The coffee is strong and fresh. Recommended!
Only been here once. After waiting a pretty long time for some sandwiches, couple people in our group received incorrect orders. The sandwiches themselves where pretty bland and dry.I'd suggest going to Fambrini's instead if you need something in the area.
Good food and service! Plus chilled out environment!
I came here because of the ‘legendary’ status many have attributed to this place. This is my second visit and I must say that I’m disappointed. Perhaps the ownership has changed since is legendary days. First the employees behind the counter always seem grumpy and less than interested in helping. Secondly, it’s kind of unclean/dirty with crumbs lingering on every other table and the floor. Starbucks down the street has better customer service - and I would expect the opposite given that it is a chain. The food here is also not very interesting, or very good. So, sigh. Two stars.
Great coffee and healthy options! plus great service, the employees there are super kind :)
over priced cheese toast! 4.95 for 2 pieces of bread and 2 pieces of cheese. there was not even a pickle on the plate. owner was rude when i asked the bagel with cheese was so much cheaper. 2.50. we will not return. overpriced. dirty kitchen
Great little place for a quick coffee and bite to eat. Their sandwiches and salads are really nice.
I liked their tomato mozarella sandwich (it was greasy though).
Excellent fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast and wifi a plus
Wonderful. Large variety of delicious salads. The “printers salad“ is great because you can order a combination of three of their salads on one plate, in case you are indecisive like me! It is one of the few remaining independently on places in the area and they have been consistently good for a long time.
Love Printers Cafe! The outdoor patio is wonderful, the food is fresh and great location.
The soup was really good and the sandwich very generous
Decent sandwiches with a nice locale.
